LawHelp Australia is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing legal information to the public in an easy-to-use, accessible and culturally relevant way. This includes heavy focus on using the potential of the media to provide legal information (both substantial and procedural) in as many diverse languages to reach the vast and growing immigrant and underprivileged people of Australia.
LawHelp is currently focusing its efforts in Victoria and hopes to expand to other states in due course. Its goal is to become the ‘first port of call’ for easy to understand legal information, especially produced in the native languages. LawHelp is also producing a television program (a panel-based interview/discussion show) to further its goals.
